About
Glass Benders produces and installs curved annealed and laminated glass for a wide range of applications and supplies and installs frameless showers, walls and doors, frameless balustrade, glass floors, skylights and pool inserts.
The legacy of Glass Benders goes back to the early 80,s when Ian Milne began bending glass in his studio situated in the picturesque Constantia winelands of the Cape. In 1998 the first manufacturing plant was established in a small factory in Diep River. With the move, however, the operation expanded considerably and the processes were improved to ensure consistency and significantly enhanced quality.
Within a few months demand had increased so much that it was necessary to move the plant to a much larger factory, out of which we still operate. Technology, techniques, designs and systems have in the intervening years enhanced and as a result, quality and availability have improved. Glass Benders now supplies curved glass and glass products such as glass basins and furniture, to customers throughout Africa, Europe and the United States of America.
Demand from the building industry led to GB supplying and installing specialised custom flat glass. Frameless showers, pool inserts, frameless sliding doors, frameless balustrade,walk-on skylights, wall and door cladding and splashbacks are some of the glass products now available from Glass Benders.
Most of our production is geared towards the manufacture of curved glass for the shop-fitting and architectural industries. Display cabinets, curved curtain walls, doors and windows are among the many products we manufacture to our customer's specifications.

New products like our new curved showers, splash backs and decorative panels are continually being developed and the vision and inspiration of our customers creates an ever-growing demand for different and new designs. We have produced a large and wide range of products over the years and our experience and expertise is available to you whenever you are considering using curved glass.
Architectural
Glass Benders manufactures curved (bent) annealed and curved laminated safety glass for balustrades, curtain walls, glazing and windows, revolving door cheeks, room dividers, shop fronts, cladding and a wide variety of other products.
Our partners manufacture curved tempered (toughened) and tempered-and-laminated glass in large quantities and sizes. Windows, awnings and decorative panels are among the many products we manufacture to our customer's specifications. We manufacture and install flat frameless balustrades, laminated stair-treads and combination steel and glass structures.

Marine
Glass Benders is one of the premier suppliers of glass to the boat building industry. We manufacture curved windscrees and windows and supply shower enclosures. Thanks to our experience and technologies, Glassbenders has all the potential to satisfy increasingly demanding specifications required for marine glazing. Especially for luxury yachts, large curved windscreens with complex shapes are playing an important role in aesthetics and aerodynamics.
Basins
Glass Benders produces glass basins (sinks) and bowls to suit our customers requirements and specifications.We will manufacture almost any size or shape you need. "The Pagatini Range stand alone bowls manufactured from 12mm thick soda-lime glass that is translucent with a misty finish on the underside."
"The Integrity Range has an integrated vanity and basin. These are manufactured from 15mm thick soda-lime glass and the vanity has a subtly textured underside and the bowl is clear."
Shopfitting
Glass Benders produces curved glass for use in refrigerated and heated deli counters, showcase and display glass.
